Dr. Ahern has Meetings in Rome

In October, Kevin Ahern, PhD was invited to give a day-long series of lectures to for the 7th meeting of the International Session on Lasallian Studies on the theme of "The Catholic Intellectual Tradition." The session gathered thought-leaders of Lasallian institutions from around the world to reflect on the meaning of Lasallian education.

During his visit to Rome, Dr. Ahern, who serves as president of an international network of Catholic intellectuals (ICMICA), had meetings with officials in the the Vatican's Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development, and the Vatican Secretariat of State. He also gave a lecture to a group of professionals in Rome on church reform.
