"I Am Not Your Negro" Featured in MC Quadrangle
Holocaust, Genocide and Interfaith Center Screens “I Am Not Your Negro" By Gillian Puma was featured in MC's The Quadrangle in late 2017, after the MC Religion Department, in part, hosted this screening event on campus.
The movie is based on James Baldwin's 1979 letter "Remember This House", in which he described his first hand accounts with civil rights leaders Medgar Evers, Malcom X and Martin Luther King Jr. Baldwin's letter and manuscript was only 30 pages by the time of his death in 1987, prompting Raoul Peck to transform his work to the big screen in 2016. This screening is Co-sponsored with the HGI Center.
